Fuck yes. All the proof anyone needed was in Jack White’s guitar solo on NYC Cops. He made Nick Valensi look like the poseur he is. He shot him down. He knocked him dead. He strangled him in his guitar strings (which, by the way, are made of barbed wire) and did scissor kicks on his grave.
(The Strokes did good things with Barely Legal but otherwise played their album as is (The new songs are good though))
