She's feuding with Pink and Kelly Osbourne, and dissing Britney Spears and Madonna.
Christina vs. Pink
"When has Pink not been copying me? In her fashion and so on, it's always like 'Gosh, I just wore that last week.'" This was one of Christina's latest comments regarding Pink.
Pink was offered to co-host the MTV Europe VMA's, but Pink declined to co-host last week's MTV Europe awards with her fellow Lady Marmalade alumna because Aguilera "would take the fun out of it ... It's surprising they're having someone like that in charge."
Pink says I've never liked her, but there's no feud. Pink refused to let Christina introduce her at MTV Europe Awards, saying she wouldn't perform if Christina did. The problem was solved by having the shows announcer introduce Pink. The two also recently banned each other from Parties they were throwing.
Christina vs. Kelly Osbourne
Kelly's comment: "She is one of the most disgusting human beings in the entire world," and "I've seen drag queens who look better."
Christina's comment: "Personally I think she has a crush on me, because she seems so obsessed with talking about me."
Christina vs. Britney Spears and Madonna
She snipes that the pair engaged in their MTV awards lip lock because their careers have run out of gas. "These people aren't artists, they're just performers - fake and superficial, like the entire event," charges Aguilera.
Ah, didn't Christina kiss Madonna also? I guess her kiss was for purely artistic purposes. Maybe someone's a little upset because someone else's kiss got a little more publicity.
So why is Christina doing all the public feuding and bashing of her peers. Let's call it poor judgment (and youth); her own, and her management's. Yes publicity is a good thing, but not when it gets to be negative all the time. She's going to start pissing of the fans of Britney, Pink, and Madonna who may have thought about possibly buy an Xtina CD.
I know about how Christina's now supposed to be her own woman now. Her "Stripped" CD represents where she is at now in her life. She's stripped away everything superficial, blah, blah, blah. While the feuding may play well in the hip hop community, a little pop princess like Christina, ends up looking like a jealous step-sister.

I think this topic has already been discussed and when the Artic;e is read in context you will see that Xtina is not dissing Madonna at all and is not really dissing Britney either. If anything she comes off more like she has mental issues with anything regarding Britney. The intervewer even notes that her eyes become shifty when she talks about Britney. I posted the Article on one of the threads discussing Xtina's comments in Blender Mag..read it for yourself. I suppose it makes for a more sensational story if the Press add enough times in enough short clips that she was dissing Madonna as well but thats not the truth. The press spent a lot of time saying Pink was dissing Madonna even when the gal took every opportunity possible to say how much she respected and adored the woman..come the Regis and kelly show, Pink turned to Jelly when she eventually met Madonna..though she regained her bravado after M left the building:) But, it was sweet and funny and even sweeter to see M try to put the poor gal at ease by telling her they had friends in common just as Pink kept giggling like a school girl with a crush on a highschl football player.
With regards to the non entity that is Kelly Osbourne..she started this palava. She dissed Xtina and Brit during several episodes of the Osbournes and when Xtina approached her while they were at a party, she became mute like all cowards doo when finally confronted..still..she carries off bad mouthing Xtina..I have no interest in Kelly Osbourne who should be incarcerated for her butchering of "Papa dont Preach".
I am still confused abt the Pink and xtina thing..I think they were friends and maybe had a falling out, but the press have exaggerated some of it..Like saying Pink did not want Xtina mentioning her name during the EMAs..but Xtina did introduce Pink when Pink came to give an award and even after Pink's performance, Xtina described the act as "hot"..so, they may no longer be friends but it is being sensationalised by the rag papers because the showbiz columnists have families to feed.

All of that is fine, but the main point holds that Christina has had more than her share of incidents regarding her fellow female performers, her peers as it were, and this would appear to reveal some deeper issues.

From the beginning Christina was upset that Britney had beat her in getting her album out first and grabbed the media attention without ever letting go, and she should have been. Christina always spoke her mind and never tried to be something she's not as did Britney Spears. Christina was the only one who talked back to Eminem when the other pop stars he insulted just took it from him. Maybe she would be better off going more in a hip hop direction. Her brazen personality seems more suited for it.

It is clear that Christina is not creating a buzz because of a kiss. If anything, the media made Brit and Madonna out to be propaganda seeking fools, a situation that it seemed Christina may have been given a reprieve from. the girl is merely sharing an opinion that there are alot of packaged "artists" out there...people with performance talent but not voice talent. She's absolutely right. These people entertian us for a while then disappear into the world of has-beens. The media takes great pains to twist what someone has said to sell their product. It would be wise of Miss Aguilera to think about how she is phrasing things to curb this deception in the future. There is nothing wronge with her comments though. Is she Jealous? Doubt it. I imagine that between rehearsals, shows, projects, and media events she has no time to worry about something so petty. She gets as much recognition (and slander) as any of her peers. The good news is that by the media turning Xtina's life into a soap opera, they have her in the spotlight...free publicity is always good. This talented girl will be around for a long time just like the Whitney Houston's and Mariah Carey's of the universe. Talent = longevity.

I love Xtina, but personally, I don't believe any of the smack that goes on. I've heard that Pink and Xtina don't really like each other, but Pink even said on MuchMoreMusic's TV Moments that "The girl has vocals". But I don't think it went that drastic. As for Kelly Osbourne, yeah ok whatever. Kelly is just an insecure little girl with problems. Hey, if I had a dad like Ozzy, I would be, too. She's also jealous because her singing career..well...let's just say...it bombed. She's just jealous that her voice sounds like a broken record, and that she has no talent. And the whole thing with a rivalry between her and Britney Spears is fake. And Xtina loves Madonna. The thing about "they're just performers..fake and superficial...." I don't think she meant Madonna and Britney. I think she's just mad because of the way they aired the kiss. Right after Madonna and Brit did it, they zoomed in on Justin. And I don't know about you, but I happened to see only pictures of Madonna and Britney kissing, not very much of Madonna and Xtina, so I'm sure this would upset her. Britney wasn't THE only one who locked lips with Madonna. Xtina should get the credit, too. I just think half of this is rumors created by people who want attention. I really pay no attention to it. You are right Korey. I posted the real article on another topic. I forget where. Xtina did not mean Madonna because she said she and Madonna sang live and Madonna was not even in teh context of that statement. Even Britney, was not slammed like the press claim, if the article is read in context. She referred to Beyonce in the same way because neither Brit nor Beyonce sang live. though, how that is Xtina's business, remains a mystery.
However, Xtina is known to have a problem with Britney, so it leads me to think she is jealous of something. She has great vocals but what has that got to do with anything?! Xtina is just as packaged as Britney. Great vocals does not mean you are not packaged. Whitney and Mariah were packaged. Whitney by Clive Davis who wanted her to be the wholesome christian gal with the angelic voice and dont forget she came in the 80s alongside wildcats like Madonna, Cyndi lauper, Blondie were still going strong, Cher was still going strong. Whitney was the alternative for middle America. We all know that she was not that person even back then, but thats who she had to be. Mariah, has clearly admitted that she was not the girl packaged by Tommy Mottolla..so your point is lost on me, Daisy.
What Xtina said left a lot of room for it to be obvious she was jealous she did not get the same coverage Britters got about the kiss. She even complained several times on different channels and in different magazines. She also knows the only way to get at Britney is to talk about packaged artist..its laughable because she is just as packaged. She's now branched out just like Brit and that Nsync lead singer. So, there is really nothing to defend Xtina about here. Though the article was taken out of context, even in context, her issues with britney are clear to see.
A performer is an artist, so I dont know whose wild idea it is that the words performer and artist are mutually exclusive. Actors and actresses are just performers. Are the not Artists? It shows that she was just lashing out without thinking, if anything. Nobody says she hasn't got a better voice than Britney so I dont know what her problem with that poor girl is. There is enough space at the top for both of them and Xtina should stop perpetuating this myth that female top singers can't get along. It excites the record bosses, cat fights. Do you hear them starting up a fight b/w the male singers(not including the rappers who start their own fights). You would think that with Madonna who has been in the biz forever appearing on stage with both of them, the new breed, it would show some sign of togetherness that everybody can get along and work together. Even without the kiss it was a fun performance with Missy as well. Xtina does not help matters adding to the wishes of record bosses and the media by saying derogatory things or things that may be misconstrued as derogatory about Britney everytime she sees a video camera, a mic or even opens her mouth.
I wish them both longevity as I enjoy their music and performances.

Here's the deal...I never liked Christina before because back then her music was stupid & shallow and she looked horrible. But now...I don't know her, but I really respect that girl! She has grown up, she has changed her tune & improved her style.
When "Beautiful" came out, it was, well, beautiful. At last she is showing some talent & her clothes look much better. Now she looks & acts like a sexy, refined lady...although I personally thought the "Dirrty" video was just nasty. And she looks very cute with black hair...it looks more natural than that trashy yellow-blond she had last year.
She also looks healthier, her makeup is nicer, & she doesn't look sickly anymore. I love the white dress in her most recent video (can't remember the name). I'm not a fan of hers, I don't have any of her music in my CD/cassette collection, but I have a newfound appreciation for her music & the way she is now.

Actually, Christina A. has some soul in her voice. Although people may disagree on some things she sings about, you can't deny that she has an excellent voice and is a talented singer.

I personally like both Christina and Britney. I think Christina has sass and a real fun attitude, as well as a lot of talent. Britney cannot sing anywhere as well as Christina, but she can dance really well, and she always puts on a good show.
However, I think Christina flopped at the recent Grammys - her dress looked awful and she did not sing well.
In my opinion, Christina has a major girl-girl crush on Britney. Why?
She can't stop talking about the woman, and as people have been saying in their comments, her eyes go "shifty" when she talks about Britney. I guess even though Christina is a year older than Britney, Christina looks up to Britney in a way. Britney's career jump started quicker than Christina's did, and also Britney is just a lot more outgoing and courageous than Christina.
As we all know, Christina had a bad childhood, so maybe at that young age, she had a ray of sunshine in her life - Britney Spears.
