Myspace and Vodafone Sign Exclusive Deal

Vodafone Europe has signed an exclusive deal with Myspace that will give access to Myspace to mobile phone users. The deal will allow Vodaphone customers to access Myspace Mobile and from there they will be able to add and find friends, post blogs and photos, edit their profiles and send and receive messages. The service will make its debut in the UK, although launch date has been announced.

Confirmation of South By Southwest Main Acts

The 21st SXSW Music Festival has confirmed most of the acts that will be playing this year's festival. The bands will be playing on more than 60 stages in Austin, Texas March 14-18. Some of the acts that have confirmed are The Automatic, Badly Drawn Boy, The Cinematics, Jill Cunniff, Deerhunter,The Faint, Jack's Mannequin, Mogwai, The Shy, The Tragically Hip, Viva Voce, Amy Winehouse, The Young Knives, and Turbonegro.

Smashing Pumpkins Announce Release Date, Title

The Smashing Pumpkins have announced a release date and a title of their upcoming album. The band revealed on its Myspace page that the album will be released on July 7th. It will be titled Zeitgeist. Of the original members of the band, so far only Jimmy Chamberlain and Billy Corgan have been in the studio working on the album.
