I wanted to ask more about the song choosing process. Smithson was very forthcoming with information on what appeared to be a somewhat confusing process. She also seemed to be the most frustrated with the method of song choosing of all the Idols I spoke with. But, staying to true to the hectic life of an Idol, I was told Smithson had run out of time and had to move on. Michael Johns, who had stopped by to briefly chat with Smithson before his interview amiably said, "It's okay, she interrupted me the other day."
Later that night Smithson stayed true to her rock image, performing Heart's "Crazy On You," Evanesence's "Bring Me To Life," and a rocked up version of "I Drove All Night."
Next week Kristy Lee Cook talks about her future and what it was like playing a big show in her hometown.
