I agree will all those against the Dixie Chicks for what they said. I also believe that the lead singer sounds like a four year old with tonsillitis. But of course, there is another thing, Our President has got troops in Iraq, military planners creating an attack strategy, and an OK from The House and Congress. Note to the Dixie Chicks: This far I don't think anything yoou say or do is going to make him pull out. Of Course if I was him I would give a damn what their opinion was in the first place.

You have to be protesting because you don't know any better.
Saddam has been playing games with the U.N. for years. The same UN that people hold in such high regard, can't go to war without their approval, Saddam continues to defy or just ignore. He has had 12 years, this didn't happen over night. The U.S. and the UN started to apply pressure in November and he didn't fully comply. Only a handful of the approximately 300 scientist were interviewed, possible sites of interest were not disclosed. The threat of disarming by force was made clear long before any deadlines were given. Even if Saddam can't launch a missile to D.C. or New York, would selling weapons or WMD, to terrorist groups be a threat to us. I think it would be. So do we wait for something bad to happen again? Do you want to feel the way you did on 9/11 again?
I'm interested to see if Saddam does use Chemical or Biological weapons. After all, he has been denying that he even has them. If that happens I wonder how many Antiwar protests there will be then?
But after all my "ranting" I have a few questions for the Antiwar people. And please answer honestly and objectively. I can throw out rebuttals just for argument sake.
1. Who believes that Saddam is an evil man?
2. Who believes that Saddam kills and tortures his own people?
3. Who believes that Saddam has cut off food and water to his own people?
4. Who believes that Saddam does have and will use WMD?
5. Who believes that Saddam has used WMD on his own people?
6. Who believes that Iraq would be a better, more prosperous country, without Saddam?
7. Who believes that Saddam can be reasoned with?
8. Who believes that Bush is sending our troops in, for some of them to die, for absolutely no reason?
If you answered yes to five or more, maybe were not so wrong after all. (All of you antiwar protesters, stay off the streets. People need to get to work and home, you take valuable resources, police, away from doing their jobs.) Get a real life and support our troops people!

Hurray for Travis Tritt!! Yes, we should boycott the Martin Sheen's of Hollywood. As reported on Fox News, Martin Sheen just has a high school education (as most of the rest in Hollywood) and he has the nerve to call them morons.

Enough of Natalie bashing! Did you notice that the majority of Natalie-bashers are working-class Southerners who identify strongly with patriotism and God? While Natalies' career is being affected, Sheryl Crow's career is still booming. Why? Because most of Crow's fans don't care about her opinions. This proves one thing: most country music fans are far more intolerant about differences in opinion than do non-country music fans.

If you take a close look at the two final candidates you quickly see that there's no meaningful difference between them - it's like tossing your vote for either Tweedle Dee or Tweedle Dum (or, in some cases, more like Dumb and Dumber). It's all controlled by Big Money from behind the scenes and The People have no input or clout in the process. No wonder so few people bother to vote anymore!

Following along with President Bush's bait-and-switch tactics, the songwriter draws a parallel between Iraq and 9/11 that simply doesn't exist.
The mob mentality led to a brawl yesterday at a rodeo in Houston after some dumb drunk redneck cowboy punched another man for, get this: refusing to stand during the playing of Lee Greenwood's "God Bless The U.S.A."
No doubt, the ignorant freeper fool actually thinks that this is the national anthem.
Not surprisingly, the victim was a brown-skinned man and was told to "go back to Iraq" even though he was born in Houston.
Ah, nothing like phony patriotism. Just wrap yourself in the flag and call your fellow Americans traitors if they don't goosestep to your particular partisan point of view.

I feel that the Dixie Chicks are great! And I love there music, and am glad that they are willing to stand up for what they believe in. I feel that they are using there freedom of speech for a very good cause! I feel this war shouldn't be happening.

I would like to further exhaust the Dixie Chiks controversy. In light of their recent interview on Thursday evening, it is a shame that Natalie felt compelled to apologize for her controversial statement regardless of how outrageous it might be. Some may not necessarily agree with her, but we must remember not to falsely direct our anger. We have been endlessly rallied to our presidents cause with war propaganda to promote patriotism, but there is a fine line to be drawn between patriotism and nationalism. As patriots, we allow ourselves to be proud of our heritage, country, and God given freedoms which include questioning our leader's motives and speaking freely. Patriots love their country similar to the unconditional love towards family, flaws and all. Unfortunately, nationalism has been outrageously displayed throughout the country music scene where opposing views are not tolerated if the do not coincide with the majority. Nationalist often view contrary opinions as threats. This same fanatical view is held by a certain regime we are currently eradicating. To point out the obvious, it was our conflicting views which initiated the Revolutionary War. No more did we want to have our freedoms dictated to us by the same oppressive enemy which we are now liberating the Iraqi people from. God bless the forefathers for allowing us the freedom to speak our mind and the troops who have liberated the Iraqi people so they may do the same. You do not have to endorse the Dixie Chiks beliefs, but as patriots, do not chastise your fellow American for observing a belief which differs from your own.

I am and always will be a Dixie Chicks fan!!!! Just because she made a comment about our president, doesn't have a thing in the world to do with her not supporting our troops. I believe Natalie is a patriotic american and supports our troops. Have you forgotten about freedom of speech???? Although people have the right to agree or disagree, enough is enough!!!! I also think it is ridiculous that parents actually take there kids to these cd bashings. What is this showing your kids? Gee, how disrespectful!! Patriotism means to stand by your country. It does not mean to stand by the president or any other public official,save exactly to the degree in which he himself stands by the country. It is patriotic to support him insofar as he efficiently serves the country.It is unpatriotic not to oppose him to the exact extent that by innefficiency or otherwise he fails in his duty to stand by the country. As a Veteran myself I have no problem with the Dixie Chicks expressing their opinion while here in the United States but to go on foreign soil in front of an anti-American crowd and take a cheap shot at our President and all Americans just shows how stupid and disrespectful they really are. Especially the chubby one that sings. Glad to hear they went to VH-1 now because with their Hollywood mentally thats where they belong, and soon I'am sure when those fans get tired of then you'll see them on MTV.

Bush needs to stop killing people. From the person he burnt with a red hot metal rod in college, to the record he holds for most individuals executed while governor(even though he didn't even finish his second term), his ability to reject every death penalty request for a postponement(in texas of course) because individuals were mentally retarded and mentally ill(which didn't stop him he loves fryin' the disabled, probably more than your average person), and the more than 100,000 dead civilians in Iraq.
Travis tritt may make his cognitive dissonance easier to deal with by unquestioningly raising his hand in a roman salute to our president.

We have men and women over seas risking their lives for us daily, just so you can have the right to express how you feel. Did you forget how you felt on 9/11?? I know I sure didnt. This freedom didnt come free, because there's no such thing as free. Our fathers before us battled so we could live here in peace, and have the right to say the things you say. So before you start attacking out President or our men over seas, stop and think about what you are saying. When did opposing the war become anti-military or anti-American? I opposed the war before it started and oppose the war now that we are trapped in a bloody occupation. Nothing saddens me more than the loss of American soldiers, almost daily, in Iraq. These former Chicks fans make statements like "I'd like to see Natalie Maines enlist in the Armed Forces then I might believe her apology." I am sorry, did the chicks make a follow up statement that condemmed our soldiers? I suggest that those outraged former fans actually open their minds and try listening rather than shouting from time to time.

Being Dutch and living in the Netherlands, I only just saw the Oprah show that had the Dixie Chicks in it, talking about the whole thing. I must say I find it réally odd that someone apparently can't speak his or her mind about their president in America, while the USA is so proud about the whole free speech thing. Don't get me wrong, I have an enormous respect for US soldiers going to war, defending their country overseas, risking their lives, and I think everybody should have. But I don't agree with why this war started in the first place. 9/11 was a terrible day for the whole world, and nothing like that should éver happen again. Thousands of innocent people lost their lives and that is really tragic. But the same thing is happening in this war, but that's ok? I really don't understand.. An eye for an eye? Does that justify anything? Besides, the girl that commented on the president didn't comment (like some people have already said before) on ány soldier anywhere. The fact that she doesn't support the war doesn't mean in ány way that she doesn't support your US troops. It may not have been the smartest thing to say when visiting another country, but I really don't understand why people seem to want to hear her say things that she just dídn't say. Like that guy who accused the Chicks of being Communists for saying something negative about their president. WTF? It had nóthing to do with Communism? It's not like she was talking about redistributing goods for an equal share for everyone or anything. She basically only said she wouldn't vote for Bush, and honestly, she is not alone. Millions of people didn't vote for Bush and/or are against the war, but they are not Communists, so why would the Dixie Chicks be?!
So, I really want to say that I just cán't understand why this whole thing got so big in the first place, and why so many Americans can't take a little criticism. But perhaps that's because I'm not an American but a very proud Dutch girl. Éveryone has the right to criticize politicians here, even in public and/or overseas. After all, they were chosen by the people and therefore should lísten to them, because they represent them. So why the Dixie Chicks are bashed to this extent, I will never understand, I guess.
Be proud of your country, 'cause I really think that's a good thing, but don't be hypocrite and claim to have free speech, when that only applies when you say something positive about your country. That is nót free speech, that is censorship.

You have to be protesting because you don't know any better.
Saddam has been playing games with the U.N. for years. The same UN that people hold in such high regard, can't go to war without their approval, Saddam continues to defy or just ignore. He has had 12 years, this didn't happen over night. The U.S. and the UN started to apply pressure in November and he didn't fully comply. Only a handful of the approximately 300 scientist were interviewed, possible sites of interest were not disclosed. The threat of disarming by force was made clear long before any deadlines were given. Even if Saddam can't launch a missile to D.C. or New York, would selling weapons or WMD, to terrorist groups be a threat to us. I think it would be. So do we wait for something bad to happen again? Do you want to feel the way you did on 9/11 again?
I'm interested to see if Saddam does use Chemical or Biological weapons. After all, he has been denying that he even has them. If that happens I wonder how many Antiwar protests there will be then?
But after all my "ranting" I have a few questions for the Antiwar people. And please answer honestly and objectively. I can throw out rebuttals just for argument sake.
1. Who believes that Saddam is an evil man?
2. Who believes that Saddam kills and tortures his own people?
3. Who believes that Saddam has cut off food and water to his own people?
4. Who believes that Saddam does have and will use WMD?
5. Who believes that Saddam has used WMD on his own people?
6. Who believes that Iraq would be a better, more prosperous country, without Saddam?
7. Who believes that Saddam can be reasoned with?
8. Who believes that Bush is sending our troops in, for some of them to die, for absolutely no reason?
If you answered yes to five or more, maybe were not so wrong after all. (All of you antiwar protesters, stay off the streets. People need to get to work and home, you take valuable resources, police, away from doing their jobs.) Get a real life and support our troops people!

The "you're either with us or you're with the terrorists" lemmings quickly took to the phones to demand a ban on all thinks Dixie Chick.
This on the heels of that popular, but really lame, country hit called "Do You Remember?" which attempts to chastise anti-war protestors for having forgotten 9/11. Following along with President Bush's bait-and-switch tactics, the songwriter draws a parallel between Iraq and 9/11 that simply doesn't exist.
The mob mentality led to a brawl yesterday at a rodeo in Houston after some dumb drunk redneck cowboy punched another man for, get this: refusing to stand during the playing of Lee Greenwood's "God Bless The U.S.A."
No doubt, the ignorant freeper fool actually thinks that this is the national anthem.
Not surprisingly, the victim was a brown-skinned man and was told to "go back to Iraq" even though he was born in Houston.

I would like to further exhaust the Dixie Chiks controversy. In light of their recent interview on Thursday evening, it is a shame that Natalie felt compelled to apologize for her controversial statement regardless of how outrageous it might be. Some may not necessarily agree with her, but we must remember not to falsely direct our anger. We have been endlessly rallied to our presidents cause with war propaganda to promote patriotism, but there is a fine line to be drawn between patriotism and nationalism. As patriots, we allow ourselves to be proud of our heritage, country, and God given freedoms which include questioning our leader's motives and speaking freely. Patriots love their country similar to the unconditional love towards family, flaws and all. Unfortunately, nationalism has been outrageously displayed throughout the country music scene where opposing views are not tolerated if the do not coincide with the majority. Nationalist often view contrary opinions as threats. This same fanatical view is held by a certain regime we are currently eradicating. To point out the obvious, it was our conflicting views which initiated the Revolutionary War. No more did we want to have our freedoms dictated to us by the same oppressive enemy which we are now liberating the Iraqi people from. God bless the forefathers for allowing us the freedom to speak our mind and the troops who have liberated the Iraqi people so they may do the same. You do not have to endorse the Dixie Chiks beliefs, but as patriots, do not chastise your fellow American for observing a belief which differs from your own.

Being Dutch and living in the Netherlands, I only just saw the Oprah show that had the Dixie Chicks in it, talking about the whole thing. I must say I find it réally odd that someone apparently can't speak his or her mind about their president in America, while the USA is so proud about the whole free speech thing. Don't get me wrong, I have an enormous respect for US soldiers going to war, defending their country overseas, risking their lives, and I think everybody should have. But I don't agree with why this war started in the first place. 9/11 was a terrible day for the whole world, and nothing like that should éver happen again. Thousands of innocent people lost their lives and that is really tragic. But the same thing is happening in this war, but that's ok? I really don't understand.. An eye for an eye? Does that justify anything? Besides, the girl that commented on the president didn't comment (like some people have already said before) on ány soldier anywhere. The fact that she doesn't support the war doesn't mean in ány way that she doesn't support your US troops. It may not have been the smartest thing to say when visiting another country, but I really don't understand why people seem to want to hear her say things that she just dídn't say. Like that guy who accused the Chicks of being Communists for saying something negative about their president. WTF? It had nóthing to do with Communism? It's not like she was talking about redistributing goods for an equal share for everyone or anything. She basically only said she wouldn't vote for Bush, and honestly, she is not alone. Millions of people didn't vote for Bush and/or are against the war, but they are not Communists, so why would the Dixie Chicks be?!
So, I really want to say that I just cán't understand why this whole thing got so big in the first place, and why so many Americans can't take a little criticism. But perhaps that's because I'm not an American but a very proud Dutch girl. Éveryone has the right to criticize politicians here, even in public and/or overseas. After all, they were chosen by the people and therefore should lísten to them, because they represent them. So why the Dixie Chicks are bashed to this extent, I will never understand, I guess.
Be proud of your country, 'cause I really think that's a good thing, but don't be hypocrite and claim to have free speech, when that only applies when you say something positive about your country. That is nót free speech, that is censorship.
