Toxicology reports released Tuesday by the family of the late, talented and tormented singer Amy Winehouse stated that she had no illegal drugs in her system at the time of her death.
The 27-year-old chanteuse, who had battled alcohol and drug addiction for years, was found dead in her London home on July 23, 2011. A nascent postmortem failed to determine the cause of death. Although alcohol was discovered in her system, it is still unclear yet if it played a part. Some family members believed Winehouse had died from alcohol withdrawal.
Amy Winehouse’s funeral took place in her hometown of London at Edgwarebury Lane Cemetery in July 2011, with a traditional Jewish ceremony amid some controversy, since the Torah forbids the Jewish faith to have tattoos upon one's skin. Winehouse was cremated before she was buried and was covered in tattoos, which is customarily considered crucial violations of Jewish law.

A formal inquest into Winehouse’s death will resume on October 26.
