I must rant. I was watching your friendly MTV the other night, and a commercial for the new Nirvana greatest hits CD came on. It showed clips of their videos, played clips of their hits - and here's the kicker - the price if you want to buy (just the music, mind you) this CD is - $18.98 + 4.95 SH!! That's $24 - What sort of idiot consumers would pay $24 for a CD you can buy from Amazon for 1/2 the price (not including shipping)??? And the RIAA wonders why MP3 file sharing is rampant? I know after I saw this commercial, I thought to myself - at $24, I'd rather use that money for gas and burn my favorite Nirvana songs - I can imagine that Kurt would be rolling in his grave...
