After growing speculation over the past several months, it 's now official - Judas Priest are to reunite with former vocalist Rob Halford. TotalRock understands that the band will start work on an album in October, with a world tour to follow.

    This was a bit surprising considering at one time Halford had totally turned his back on his days with Priest, treating the music like it was no longer important or relevant to him. Somebody finally got into the mirror with him and convinced him that a 30 year Priest reunion would make his wallet hell bent for leather.

    While Halford was away Tim Owens stepped in and did an admirable job behind the microphone even if while he was there the only good material they released was live albums (metal meltdown, live in London).

    I have to wonder, though, if they'll be able to recreate the magic. Hope so :)
