White had been hospitalized for months after suffering kidney failure.
White gained famed during the 1970s disco era.
His hits included "You're the First, the Last, My Everything" and "It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me."
So put the lights down, give your lady what she wants, and let the snakes go.
Oh, baby, it's a sad day, and I know what'll make it better.

Haven't heard any news, been in holiday mode. Really terrible, very sad to hear it - he goes all the way back to Del-Phi Records in the '60s, writing, prodcing, arranging. What's not to love?
