Toy makers in Japan have designed an air guitar that actually plays music. The guitar works thanks to heat and motion sensors. The Air Guitar Pro looks like the top portion of the guitar neck and comes pre-programmed with ten songs. The toy is expected to hit stores next month. Also on display at the Annual International Toy Show were air guitars that attached the wrist and made noise as the user moved.
Music retailers are reporting a decline in sales because of the growth in downloading music. The decline is even hitting larger retailers, such as the UK's HMV which reportedly sold 2 billion DVDs and CDs last year. Stores are trying to combat the loss by creating a larger online presence and by offering downloads in store. Digital music currently makes up about 10 percent of total music sales.
