Title: Audioslave
Group: Audioslave
Label: Sony
Instead of being a weaker version of either, we have one of the best hard rock albums of many a moon. Instead of the rap-rock leftie bollocks of RATM, we get Cornell fronting a kicking metal band. This band does not have a turkey on it, from the opener and first single "Cochise" to the last track you have talent on display. This is the great rock album that the talented Soundgarden never made. I never thought I would be praising anything Tom Morello (guitars) was involved with, but his politics aside he shreds on here. The great thing about Audioslave is it will piss of the holier-than-thou RATM fans to no end. Ignore their screams of "sell out' and be thankful we all got to witness these guys' true talent. Audioslave is essential metal for the new century.

Amen Marty! I enjoy listening to Audioslave - the power of Rage, the voice of Soundgarden :)

I'm a "holier than thou" RATM fan, and I love Audioslave. So rest assured that Morello's leftist fans are following, not scorning, him. The puzzle is why the band appeals to a right wing bonehead like you.

it's kinda funny how conservatives can toss around phrases like "holier-than-thou" and "elite" with the assumption that their views somehow have more instrinsic worth.

Theres nothing special here. If these guys formed on the street without big names and tried to make this album noone would care. Thats what pisses me off, so many great bands sit and wait to get discovered while some famous dudes project gets the best producers and publicity.
