The Raconteurs to Tour With Bob Dylan
The Raconteurs will play a series of dates later this year with Bob Dylan. The dates will begin in Portland on November 9 and end on November 18 and will include shows Philadelphia, Boston and Uniondale, New York. Other bands who will tour with Dylan this fall include the Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon.
Google May be Reclassified as an Investment Firm
Google has requested that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission not reclassify it as an investment firm. The company has crossed a regulatory threshold with its $9.8 billion in liquid assets and faces the possible reclassification, which would make the company subject to regulation and certain financial reporting requirements. The reclassification would also reduce Google’s investment options and its flexibility by disallowing it to seek out higher return and riskier investment opportunities.
List of VMA Performers, Presenters Grows
Chicago band OK Go and the singer Shakira have been added as performers to the upcoming MTV video music awards. They join Panic! At the Disco, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Christina Aquilera, T.I., and the Killers among others already set to perform. Presenters that were recently announced include Lindsay Lohan, 50 Cent, Axl Rose, Kanye West , Diddy, Paris Hilton, the Pussycat Dolls and Snoop Dogg. The awards show is set to take place on August 31.
