The job Little did was almost as bad as Zimmer's in '78! At least Little got us to the playoffs. Two of the worst managers in our Red Sox long and sorry history. When Pedro threw Zim to the ground...it was the happiest day of my life!! Finally got the Gerbil back for what he did to us during the 1978 season. Remember him leaving Hobson in with the bone chips in his elbow and unable to hit or throw the ball to first base?

Zim also got a worn out, demoralized, and beaten down club to win its last 8 games to close a 3-1/2 game gap with a fantastic Skankees side to force the Bucky Dent playoff, and it's not Zim's fault that BF Dent and his corked* bat hit a pop-up that Comrade Stalinbrenner's hot-air* blew over the GM. That said, Pedro's Ole wins him this month's John Wensink Award.
