Sometimes you need a little music to set the mood. Maybe you're going to a Halloween party, maybe you're just eating little Snickers bars waiting for the doorbell to ring, but Bobby "Boris" Pickett just doesn't move you the way you need to be moved. Allow me to suggest a few good songs with supernatural content - witches, ghosts, or just minor chords and evil harmonies. On the home page click on "Charts" then in the Chart Selection area click on the dropdown menu and select "Halloween" and in the other dropdown menu select "All Time" - press Search.
I see that not all the above songs are listed, but a few others are. Check back in October as they typically have a halloween music contest and have other songs available.

There is an endless supply of horror punk out there. Check out Fiend Force records and Horror High. My personal favorite is Blitzkid, and they do a sick cover of Concrete Blond's "Bloodletting". Also Chicago horror rock band Sinister Fate is badass. They have stuff up on their myspace i think. And btw, the Misfits do a really great version of "Monster Mash" on their album Project 1950. Happy haunting all you cool ghouls.

Blue Oyster Cult has several spooky songs, but Joan Crawford is one of my favorites. Megadeth's Mary Jane is a very chilling song about a long dead witch calling out to a man from beyond the grave. Lady Jane by Queensryche is pretty creepy. Dokken's Dream Warriors from A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 rocks, and My Chemical Romance has too many great horror themed songs to count. Phantom of the Opera from the musical of the same name is a really good one too.
