T-Mobile Introduces Wi-Fi Calling Service
T-Mobile USA has announced that it will be introducing a service that uses short-range Wi-Fi networks to improve reception. Deutsche Telekom's U.S. wireless unit has said the service will improve indoor reception by switching to Wi-Fi networks from the cellular networks using technology available in a number of cell phones and most laptops. Subscribers to the service would have to pay an extra fee, up to $19.99 per line of service on top of their regular fees for unlimited calls in the nearly 8,500 places T-Mobile runs Wi-Fi and in the subscriber's home.
Weezer Heads Back to the Studio
Weezer are headed back to the studio to work on their next album, quashing rumors that the band were headed for a breakup. Weezer have announced that they are almost done with pre-production of the album and should be in the studio sometime next month. No more details of the album have been revealed.
Amy Winehouse's Shocking Stunt
Amy Winehouse has raised some controversy after allegedly carving her husband's name into her stomach with a piece of broken glass. The incident came to light during an interview with Spin magazine in which the singer also claimed that she does not want to be a role model. Winehouse is set to play T in the Park in Scotland early in July.
