  I never likes the BEP, those pretentios, annoying shittlings. Their very looks annoyed me, not to mention their uninventive, primitive songs. However, "My Hump" reaches a complete new level of ludicrous sucking. The first time I heard this filth was when it was being blared across the school campus upon the demand of some ghetto dipshit. I didn't know it was the BeP behind it, but it drove me into a rather foul mood. Even, worse, it got stuck in my head for quite a while. No, I don't think it's satire, and if it is, it isn't coming across as such. All in all, it's filthy, repetetive crap aimed at the cultureless mass consumer urban youth/teenage white girl that buys it. It's not funny either; only insinuating. So, f_ck it. F_ck "My Hump," and the Black Eyed Peas, and whoever causes such music to be successful.

  I think the REAL question we need to be asking about this song is why didn't they rhyme the word "hump" with "rump"? I mean the whole song is about boobs and butts, rumps and lumps so why, why was there no rump? I was waiting for it with baited breath only to be let down, no rump for me. Is the song too good for the word "rump" I think we would all agree that it is not. In fact, the song is the perfect venue for the often overlooked "rump." So why the hate? Where is the rump love, ya'll? (Yo, I don't know).

  Agreed, the songs trash. Mind you its a bit catchy. Yet i have heard a lot of black eyed pea's songs and they were usually positive. Like "Don't Lie" "Union" or "Where is the love?". But this song? nah man. This is the exact opposite. B$.

  I think it's funny that folks sweat BEP now, but prolly couldn't tell you that they did "Joints and Jams" like 7 years ago.
  
  When BEP did that Best Buy commercial, it was the beginning of the end. Now, they're suffering from the same problem that a lot of musicians have. They feel like they can put out anything because they're famous, including this insipid song. They sold out pretty bad.

  I think any girl can relate to the part about not wanting to be groped at clubs.
  
  And "Whatchu gonna do with all that breast inside that shirt?" and "I'm gonna get you drunk on my love hump" along with the Cocoa Puffs nonsense is some of the most brilliant poetry ever written in the West.
  
  Pop music is aiming more and more for teen and pre-teen girls and is relying more on double entendres and childish innuendo rather than the more explicit sexuality of a few years ago. We've gone from Foxy Brown/Lil Kim and before that, Naughty by Nature, pop porn to stuff like "Milkshake" by Kelis, "My Hump," and "Dontcha" by The Pussycat Dolls.
  
  It's not the death of feminism. Feminism died a long time ago in our culture and these songs are written from the point of view of attractive, albeit materialistic, women who have power over men because of their confidence and sexuality and don't want what the men are offering. That's an old theme in pop music. Hip hop and pop is all about signifying through materialism -- that's been happening for at least a decade.
  
  All of you people who are outraged at how empty and stupid this is are missing the point. It's the new form of bubblegum pop.
  
  It's all pretty harmless, if you ask me. Hip hop and cross-over wuss rap is the new pop. Even 50 Cent's doing it these days. And kids today love songs about brand names and shopping.
  
  The real tragedy isn't the moral corruption of our youth, but the fact that Fergie really, really hit the wall. She used to be so hot. That dork from "Las Vegas" can have her now.
  
  How exactly are BEP "pretentious," Venom? That's the worst use of an adjective I've ever seen.

  Have you LOOKED at the top i-tunes downloads? My Hump was just the beginning of the new Craptrain which has become popular music. Check it out - at #3 we have Nelly's Grillz in which he balances out the BEP song by singing about his gold teeth in an equally irritating way. At #7 we have strippers, ex-cheerleaders and vegas showgirls known as The Pussycat Dolls doing the incredibly inane, offensive and irritating Stickwitu and then at #8 is the abominable Laffy Taffy which is in the same genre of idiotic gimmick songs as My Hump and Grillz, but adds the amazing feature of a casiotone which apparently has only TWO notes on it. And it's in the top 10 despite easily TWO THOUSAND reviews which describe it as utter crap. These songs are so awful that they make Ashlee Simpson's L.O.V.E. at #9 sound good by comparison.

  I'm not too concerned with the lyrics if "my Humps" or its visual content. I'm more interested with the ending of the song. The "so Real" part. I love it; its fantastic, and its definately got me hooked. But how can a technoish song about asses and boobs etc. suddenly switch to a completely different tune?
  Is this piano bit an actual track? if it is can someone please give me the name of it.

  What freaking parents and schools are letting their kids listen to this garbage? There is no way in hell they would have played this at our jr/high school. A nine year old dancing to this is not cute, its disgusting. For the person who said, "what, girls can relate because who wants guys touching them at clubs?" well for one thing, "Your Hand" by Pink is a much better example of that. In this song she is actually saying she is teasing them on purpose, and using them for money..but you can't touch it. Ever heard of the word co_k tease? See how far in real life a girl like that would get. I honestly couldn't figure out if this was meant to be poking fun at how stupid celebrities have gotten, but I think if that was their aim, it was way off. There have been parody type songs, but they are usually so over-exaggerated on purpose. Only reason this got popular is because the damn thing sticks in your head and is easy for the brainless who never listen to lyrics to dance to. If you read the comments of those that liked it, half of them probably didn't even buy the cd themselves, some braindead parent did.
