That's a classic, but it was something like "TTL SHT" as I recall--I used to read Musician every month back in the 1980s. Considine always had some great one or two word reviews to devastate an album he felt was either crap, or pretentious and phony.
Nope, it was just "sht". From the man his own bad self (I would actually dig up the issue of Musician, but while I collect stuff, I am terrible at actually organizing it) which is why we have google: JD: "I've interviewed most of the major stars. I did an interview in 1984 with Eric Clapton that was well thought of... I've interviewed Madonna... I wrote a book about Van Halen. I wrote a quarter of the Rolling Stone album guide. Probably the most famous thing I've ever written was a 1982 review of group GTR, led by Steve Howe from YES and Steve Hackett who used to be in Genesis. The title of the album was GTR and my review read "SHT." People still talk about it." -- from Luke Ford
Also check the interview at RockCritics.com, apparently Considine now lives here in Canada's pre-eminent city of Toronto.
And of another of their albums, Intravenus DeMilo, "This tasteless cover is a good indication of the lack of musical invention within. The musical growth of this band cannot even be charted. They are treading water in a sea of retarded sexuality and bad poetry."

They said our album cover was sexy? What's wrong with being sexy?

My all-time favourite short album review was by J.D. Considine in Musician magazine
"GTR - sht"

I would like to seize this not-so-rare opportunity to shamelessly plug my page.

Jim,
Fair enough--I bow to both Google and your superior memory. (And in retrospect, I feel more than a LTL DMB for bring it up!)
Regards,
Ed

To clear this up, Ed was correct (J.D. "misremembered" his own review). J.D. Considine's entire entry for the band GTR reads:
"Pointless, pompous guitar wank-a-rama, featuring Steve Hackett (formerly of Genesis) and Steve Howe (periodically of Yes). Ttl Sht."

someone also just said "Shit Sandwich"... wasn't it DiBergi?
