In the bridge, Shakira "le ro le le lo le, Le ro le le lo le's" again and tells her boyfriend to talk about his thoughts and say "I love you" ("Think out loud/ Say it again.") She asks her boyfriend to share the compliment with her again: that he would rather exist in the iris of her eyes than anywhere else in the world. "Tell me one more time/ That you'll live/ Lost in my eyes."
While the first part of the chorus is the same, the second part of it is changed for the ending. She tells him she's fallen in love with him and as long as they feel the same about the each other, the relationship will be the best in their lives: "Whenever, wherever/ We're meant to be together/ I'll be there and you'll be near/ And that's the deal my dear/ Thereover, hereunder/ You've got me head over heels/ There's nothing left to fear/ If you really feel the way I feel."
For those interested in Latin music, Shakira is an excellent place to start. To her credit, I fell for the Spanish language with her album, "Laundry Service." After hearing the far superior "Suerte," the Spainsh version of "Whenever, Whenever," I craved to hear more. In the English language, Shakira's vocals are breathy and nasal. But in her native tongue, she's commanding and willowy.
Also, the "lucky that my breasts are small and humble/ So you don't confuse them with mountains" is the most clever, self-confident couplet to hit radio in a long time. In the United States where plastic surgery ad spots feature insecure women finally validated by their new cantaloupe-sized breasts, it's a refreshing lyric to hear.

Just waxing, but I just learned yesterday that Shakira is only 4'11" in real life. If only I had a pair of those boots she wears to appear taller. Of course, I'd probably break both ankles. Oh well.

Shakira is my inspiration in belly dancing, the way she sings, her ways of being straight up to peaople (the press)and also because she represents all of COLOMBIA !
