Hard News reports that the Scorpions may be in for a spot of bother in Malaysia when their tour reaches there.
Malaysia's Parti Islam Semalaysia (PAS) wants the Government to stop the upcoming concert by the SCORPIONS. It described the band's performance as "immoral and promoting unIslamic values. "The party said the concert on Sept 13 was just a day after Isra' Mikraj, one of the most important events in the Muslim calendar. Party representatives headed by PAS national Youth chief Salahuddin Ayub submitted their protest letter to the Federal Territory Religious Department and the Arts, Culture and Heritage Ministry yesterday. Salahuddin said such artistes were not appropriate role models for young Malaysians and urged the authorities to withdraw the permit for the concert.
