Recorded live in her native Athens, Terra Nostra, by lovely Greek diva (in the best sense) Savina Yannatou and her Primavera en Salonico ensemble, romps in a wildly entertaining manner across an international traditional music landscape over twenty songs and 74-minutes, from the lightest Enya-like levitation to ululating Mediterranean passion, with stops between in Lebanon, Sephardic Spain, Sardinia, France, Bulgaria, the Caribbean, the Hebrides, and Asia Minor.
She is a veritable musicological U.N. with a pristine soprano and spectacular articulation that never gets lost amidst the fire and ice of her ensemble. Yannatou is joined on five Arabic-language numbers by singer Lamia Bedioui, against whom she improvises spectacularly.
If you like Dead Can Dance, traditional world music, or simply have an adventuresome musical spirit, you will love Savina Yannatou.

It is truly amazing - it is rare that I can listen to something for 74 minutes and not get bored, but when this was over I wanted it to go on.
