RIP Spencer Dryden

From an entry on Beat Gear Cavern, we note the passing of Jefferson Airplane drummer Spencer Dryden earlier this week. Dryden's passing is acknowleged on his site, however, details are few as of this writing. Dryden replaced the legendary Skip Spence on the Airplane's drum throne, and was part of the musical bedroom scene that the Airplane was notorious for. After leaving the Airplane in 1970, Dryden played for the New Riders of The Purple Sage until 1977.
