Review: The Mystery Hall, Prog heads into the void

The Voyager Through the Void
The Mystery Hall
(Lion Music)

This Spanish lot produce a fairly decent level of prog-metal but never really seem to get going. Its not horrid in any way shape or form just nothing really special. The music tends to sound rather same and blend into the background a bit. Morata's vocals are neither horrible nor great and much of the music seems like its power-prog by the numbers. Tony Baena is a good guitarist, of that there is no doubt, he just needs to produce something catchier than this lot of tracks. If you are the type to grab ahold of any prog-metal you can find then by all means but for the rest of us wait until this lot actually have some songs. The instrumental 'Shambala' is rather nice; and at least leaves you with a pleasant end to the entire endeavor. There is hope for the future here however.

I strongly doubt there is hope for the future - you still haven't learnt that the English language has invented the paragraph:)
