Review: S.I.N. - Equilibrium

Equilibrium,
S.I.N.
(Metal Heaven)

Yet another album that is described as metallic metal even though it far more resembles Alcatrazz or Dokken. 'Walk Away' sounds like that latter band's track you can't place. Jason Marks does a wonderful line in Graham Bonnet-isms when not sounding like Glenn Hughes at his least pretentious. Such a vibe can be found on the ballad 'For Getting Over Us'. 'Nightwinds' on the other hand is pure Europe Scandi-rock done with the same level of class. Shades of Rainbow show up in various places notably 'Since You Been Gone' era. This is 80s hard rock done very well indeed. When it is this good its very hard to resist. Its not wonder Burrn! magazine have raved about these guy's previous CD. While maybe not always the most original material in the world, S.I.N. still manage to have pulled off a rather good hard rock album.
