Really Really Good: The Link Specialist - Page 3

Part of: Really, Really Good

Random Thoughts
A few things, bouncing in my head and inboxes, that need repeating.

Rock The Bells is about to kick off soon! The annual Hip-Hoppaloza has more backpacker rap star power than ever! Regulars like Ghostface and Raekwon, De La Soul, Rakim, and Redman are back on the bill. Newcomers like Wale, Jay Electronica, Kidz In The Hall, and B.O.B. are also slated to rock a bell or two. Headliners Mos Def, Nas, and A Tribe Called Quest bring it all home, and the reunion of The Pharcyde is just icing on a very dope cake! See you at the Glen Helen Pavilion on August 9th, for all my SoCal headz! The rest of you have to check the website for tour dates!

The Sunset Strip Music Festival gave Angelinos something to rock out to, as the weekend tribute festival took over the hottest venues on the world famous strip. Everclear, Soul Asylum, Camper Van Beethoven,Mickey Avalon, and Dilated People are just a few of the groups to perform during the three day event!  LA Guns, B-Real, and Slash were at JD’s pad,  Whiskey A Go-Go, while Juliette and the Licks had party goers at the notorious Viper Room lapping it up and loving it! Hot Hot Heat rose the temperature at The Roxy, as the music festival rocked the block!  SSMF promises to get bigger and better, and honorees Lou Adler, Elmer Valentine and Mario Maglieri should be very proud!
