My co-worker let me borrow (i. e. made me listen to) a Ray Stevens CD. I was dubious at first, but I gotta tell ya: He's funny!
The songs on this CD run the gamut, from a guy who catches his girl cheating, to a crazed, bloodthirsty Viking, to a dead dog, to an alcoholic who misses his now-sober ex-girlfriend. These don't seem like humorous topics, but they are, in the hands of Mr. Stevens.
I now have "Eric, the Awful" stuck in my head. Is this a sign of early-onset senility, or just plain old fun music?
