Rapper Mystikal was jailed for six years on Friday at the dramatic conclusion to a long running legal case in which the MC's hairstylist claimed to have been sexually assaulted after an argument over money.
As previously reported, the stylist claims she was confronted by the rapper and two of his bodyguards back in July 2002. They accused her of stealing money and then forced her to perform sexual acts as punishment. Mystikal originally pleaded not guilty to the charges, but switched his plea when it materialised the trio had videoed the incident and that police had located the tape.
Sentencing him to six years inside, Judge Tony Marabella told the court: "The court is convinced the defendant thinks he is above the law and can take the law into his own hands."
Bodyguards Leland 'Pokie' Ellis and Vercy 'V' Carter also received sentences of three and four years after they also pleaded guilty.
