According to QUEENSRYCHE's official website, the band's music will be featured in the forthcoming True Crime: Streets Of L.A. game. A statement regarding the inclusion reads: "Expanding on its award-winning game soundtrack featuring original music from SNOOP DOGG, WESTSIDE CONNECTION and other hip-hop stars, Activision Inc. today announced True Crime: Streets Of L.A. for the PC will feature 32 additional tracks from artists such as QUEENSRYCHE, ALICE IN CHAINS, SPINESHANK and STONE SOUR. The massive soundtrack will capture the essence of The City of Angels, from the urban vibe of East L.A. to the hard rock streets of Hollywood offering more than 115 music tracks that will immerse players into the mean streets of Los Angeles. True Crime: Streets of L.A. for the PC will be available this spring and is rated "M" ("Mature" - Blood and Gore, Mature Sexual Themes, Strong Language and Violence) by the ESRB. In addition, guitarist Michael Wilton has revealed that the band have finished mastering their forthcoming new album, Soulbender. The album will tentatively be released in May. As previously reported, iTunes will be selling Queensryche's 'Rhythm Of Hope' single on April 5th. For a limited time the service is offering up a free acoustic version of the song. Also, the band's The Art Of Live DVD will surface on April 20th via Sanctuary. The Art Of Live was filmed in summer and fall 2003 on Queensryche's tour promoting the Sanctuary studio album Tribe. The summer tour was a co-headlining run with DREAM THEATER. Vocalist Geoff Tate, guitarist Michael Wilton, guitarist Mike Stone, bass guitarist Eddie Jackson and drummer Scott Rockenfield perform Queensryche classics, the finest Tribe songs and a cover encore of THE WHO's 'Won't Get Fooled Again' featuring Dream Theater. The Art Of Live includes the following tracklisting: 'Tribe', 'Sign Of The Times', 'Open', 'Losing Myself', 'Desert Dance', 'Great Divide', 'Rhythm Of Hope', 'My Global Mind', 'Roads To Madness', 'Della Brown', 'Breaking The Silence', 'The Needle Lies', 'Best I Can' and 'Won't Get Fooled Again'. The material on the DVD was shot in black and white and is presented in full-screen picture format with 5.1 and DTS audio options. Bonus extras include an "on the road" travel documentary shot by the band members themselves, as well as backstage footage.
