Unreleased John Lennon to be featured in new documentary

Two unreleased tracks by John Lennon will be in the new documentary “The US vs. John Lennon”. The two tracks are an instumental version of “How Do You Sleep” and a live version of “Attica State” that was recorded at the John Sinclair Freedom Rally in 1971 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The film is about the US government’s attempt to suppress information about Lennon’s anti-war and humanitarian causes. The film’s soundtrack, which will include liner notes by Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono is due out on September 26th. The film will be out the following month.


Rolling Stones live on the phone

Using new technology called Listen Live Now, American fans will be able to call a toll free number and listen to the Rolling Stones live in Paris for $1.99 per seven minutes. The Stones will be the first to use this technology which will makes its debut at their concert at the Stade de France in Paris.


New Evanescence due out this fall

Evanescence’s second album is due out on October 3rd. The album is titled The Open Door. The CD will be their first disc with their new guitarist Terry Balsamo and will feature 13 tracks. Balsamo replaced guitarist Ben Moody back in 2004.
