Last Saturday saw John, Rob and I gather at John "Dizzy" Harrison's house (working nickname we have too many Johns) in preparation for our date in studio later this month. 'Cry Freedom' is very much done and arranged...this time John actually wrote down the chords so he can tell other people them. He is one of those musicians who mostly keeps stuff in his head much to the frustration of some of his fellow musicians. It was just as chaotic this time with "Dizzy" joining in on keyboards. After some dinner and some quality Comedy Central animation; we hit the pub for a couple of Jack & Cokes. Rob had headed home by then. Once back in the house John and I sat down to do final tweaks on the lyrics to 'Searchin' after making sure 'Cry Freedom' was truly done. John played his electric acoustically with me singing along. We are taking the next Saturday off for the Beer Festival; however we shall reconvene to rehearse the tracks a week on Saturday. 'Cry Freedom' is a very strong track which we have something special planned for.
"A sinister cabal of superior writers."
