Doug and the Slugs? Sloan? Martha and the Muffins? Come on, yes they made a contribution to the Canadian music scene, but that's it. We're talking influences, achievements, longevity and anything that breaks the average or norm. Saga, Triumph, Kim Mitchell, 54-40, Goddo. As for Canadian bands, I can't think of any that changed music. They all followed or turned something in a different direction. As for influences musically, that's another list.

Last night on Much Mega hits a Cadadian station there was a 3 man group on there. The lead singer had long black hair parted on the lift and it came to a point on his left shoulder. One guitar player had a bald head and the other blond hair. All I could understand in the words were " Take My Life" But I cant FIND THIS TITLE ANYWHERE. THE LEAD SINGER AT TIMES WAS SITTING DOWN LOOKING AT A INK BLOTTER PIECE OF PAPER. They all wore black and at times also lead singer was on top of a building looking down at many people with 4 posters on the building. Anyone know who this group is and the title to this song would be appreciated. Thanks. E-Mail or answer here..

Your blog on Bryan Adams is completely wrong. BA doesn't have a middle name of Guy, it was only because he was born on Guy Fawkes day that that has been asscociated with him. Also, BA's biggest successes were in the 90's, not the 80's. In the 90's he had 3 number one records, released 5 albums and broke internationally.
You also have him starting his career with Sweeney Todd at 17. This is incorrect too. He did a brief stint with them at age 15, but his first group was called Shock. Please correct your BLOG!!!
    Thanks

When I was on the air in Cleveland, circa 1974, I used to play a song by a Canadian duo Myles & Lenny-- it was called "Can You Give it All to Me" and it should have been a hit... I think they went on to write and produce songs for other artists... And thanks for NOT including Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush-- quelle waste of time!!! For obvious reasons, Rush (the real Rush, the one and only) will always be number #1 in my book.

Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush (not the hacks called just Rush) are not only the #1 Canadian Band of all time...but should have become a household name around the world. This band was stopped right when 'Strange Dreams' hit number #1 on all the stations across the U.S., the song was pulled by Columbia off of all radio stations and all PR stopped. Requests were not allowed to be taken anymore after 1982 and Frank Marino was here by blackballed from every commercial station across America. So leaving them off of a list like this is typical, bogus but typical.

Comment #32 couldn't have been written by the author, could it? If so, shameful! The Bryan Adams section does have a lot of mistakes, including the fact that it was Nick Gilder singing on Sweeney Todd's debut album and debut hit "Roxy Roller" (although two versions were later recut with Adams and another singer), while Bryan Guy Adams sang on the second Sweeney Todd album, If Wishes Were Horses. Cuts Like A Knife is his third solo album after Bryan Adams and You Want It...
