I actually went out and bought Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds "Nocturama" today at Toronto's best record store SoundScapes. What was puzzling was that I'd already downloaded the album via emusic.com yesterday. I've been buying Nick Cave records since the mid-80s. So I pick up the CD and hey, there's a free bonus DVD and a poster. Now since I am no longer a 16 year old girlie, a little poster isn't really a biggie. In fact it is somewhat an annoyance. I've got to carry this piece of paper around with me as I shop for adult goods like miso and makings for bbq.
As for the video, I watched it once, it is 15 minutes of the band mugging for the camera. There is no way this will ever be broadcast, and it is hideous, which begs the question, why was it filmed in the first place.
All of this tat is subsequent to me buying the disc, which means it is pointless, and further proof that marketing people at record companies can't find their ass with both hands.
I'm a committed Nick Cave fan, and none of this crap will make me more of a fan.
Another review is here.

Well, how's the album?

the album is great, but the merchandising is totally beside the point, the idiots at Sony have not listened to the record. They've just gone into panic mode.
The video is stupid, but the song "Babe, I'm On Fire" is a really driving blues tune with great noisy organ and guitar.
