Social Network Safety Standards Called For By New Company
The Online Community Special Interest Group (ONCOMM), a new company spearheaded by the website LunarStorm (Sweden’s number one social networking site) is calling for universal safety standards to be set for online social networking sites. ONCOMM is hoping to give companies that run social networking sites a place to discuss, design, and evaluate safety policies. In addition to the companies that run the sites, members of academia, parents, police and government officials are being invited to join the group.
Historical Marker Stolen From AC/DC Singer’s Grave
A Brass memorial from the National Trust of Australia was stolen from the grave of AC/DC singer Bonn Scott’s grave. The theft took place some time over the weekend. The theft coincided with what would have been the singer’s 60th birthday. Scott died tragically at age 33 in 1980.
My Morning Jacket To Release Live CD
My Morning Jacket has announced that it will release a live double album and concert film. The double album is titled Okonokos: Double Live Album and is set to be released on September 26th. The concert film will be released on October 31st. The film is also set to be screened in select cities later this year.
