Today in the UK the Beatles postage stamp went on sale. They are the first British stamps to feature the likeness of the Fab Four. The stamps reproduce covers of Beatles albums such as Revolver and Let it Be, among others. The stamps were previewed in Liverpool, the band's hometown.
Sling Media introduce new product that takes web content to your TV
Sling Media, a company that makes technology that allows satellite and cable feed content to be played on computers, has now unveiled technology that allows web content to be played on your TV. The new product, SlingCatcher, takes content downloaded to your PC or laptop and, using the remote slingbox, the content is played on your TV. The slingbox attaches to an ethernet or Wi-Fi connection and can be navigated from either the computer or a remote.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees announced
Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five, the Ronettes, Patti Smith, R.E.M. and Van Halen have all been announced as this year's nominees. There will be a black-tie event on March 12 that will honor the inductees in New York, which is the main fundraiser for the museum and the Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
