The lone likely pick among actual new music is The Hives Tyrannosaurus Hives album, their follow up to the righteous "Hate To Say I Told You So."
There's a two disc best of Van Halen, Best of Both Worlds. As you might guess from the title, it contains both David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar era recordings. The switch to Hagar represented one of the most obvious lobotomies in the history of pop music. Plus, it's more than half from the Hagar ie retard era.
Much more promising, but much more expensive, the Faces have a box set out, Five Guys Walk Into a Bar. It's mostly unreleased and alternative takes and live cuts and such. Plus, it's a Rhino deal, so you know it's done right. Rod Stewart was actually a legitimate rock star back before "Do Ya Think I"m Sexy?" Honest.

All I can say is, save yer money kids, this week's not worth going broke for. Next week is the big week, what with 8 remastered/remixed Megadeth albums, new stuff from the Old 97s, Badly Drawn Boy, Pearl Jam's acoustic show, among others. Maybe use this week to catch up on things you missed out on, like that new Death Angel. It RULES.

tom, i must disagree. This week there are two titles what will sorely cost me all my limbs for to obtain. That faces box set would be nice, but the ultimate goal is that 3-cd "low" set. Alt.country mormon wonder, waiting for The Duke to uncover.
