Also missing from both your lists is Anthrax's Music of Mass Destruction live CD/DVD combo. Scoff if you may, but their last album, We've Come For You All, was quite impressive and a huge comeback after numerous lackluster albums.

Inclined to scoff at Anthrax I am, but just for argument's sake, what would be the three or four best Anthrax songs I could check out to see if I've been missing something?
4 - Craig Lyndall
I scoff at Anthrax as well, although they have many many fans out there.

I'm not a huge Anthrax fan, mind you. I like them, I think they've done some incredible stuff, but their late-90s material is just plain blah. However, one of my favorite albums of all time is The Sound Of White Noise, which may be a controversial choice given that it's the first album after original singer Joey Belladonna left the group and was replaced by John Bush. I love it - it's unrelentingly heavy. Key moments for me are "Potter's Field," "Hy Pro Glo," and "Black Lodge," which had a very cool, creepy video. That said, I can understand why some fans prefer the Belladonna years - their cover of Joe Jackson's "Got The Time" on Persistence of Time is killer, as is most of that album. Besides "Got the Time," check out "Time," "Blood," and "In My World." Among The Living is also a classic, but is more thrash than you may want to listen to, but be sure and check out "Caught In A Mosh" - still fun after all these years. And that's really the key with Anthrax for me - this band is just fun. I fully realize that it tends to be aimed squarely at meaty metalheads, but at least it's got some intelligent subject matter and steers clear of most metal cliche's. Give 'em a chance, it's good stuff. But I won't blame you if you don't like it, Al. I know your taste is good and tends to not toward metal. I'll forgive ya. ;-)

The unedited version of "I'm the Man" is silly fun, though not very representative.

i think the best thing Anthrax ever did was that "Bring The Noise" thing with Public Enemy.
8 - Craig Lyndall
That's funny because I thought, "Bring the Noize" was the worst thing on that Public Enemy album.
9 - Mark Saleski
oh well!

Not saying you are wrong or anything... just pointing it out. I enjoyed "By the Time I Get to Arizona," "Can't Truss It," and others a whole lot more.
One of the classic hip hop albums if you ask me.

let's face it, we're gonna find polarized views of just about everything on this site.
no big deal, really.
