Miles Davis' December 1970 sessions in DC were an extension of the recent Live Evil group playing The Cellar Door Sessions 1970. They are now re-mastered and presented as a 6-CD set, half of which has never been released before.
Other than that, the Strokes are probably the biggest name with a new album this week, First Impressions of Earth.
A new George Carlin album would probably be of more real interest than most of the music. Life Is Worth Losing is the companion album to his 13th HBO special, described as "assaultive" in the subject matter. Sounds promising.
Also, Dual Disc releases are out this week for some of the old core Talking Heads classics. Notably, that means Fear of Music now has 5.1 Surround Sound. I'm not sure just what that means, but "Animals" can now surround you with perfectly delightful paranoia. I'm sure the animals think it's very clever.

I bought the strokes last week? Good stuff too.

The Strokes only showed up on my listings this week. My apologies. Hopefully, no one suffered any long lasting damage from the deprivement of knowing about a new Stokes album for an extra week.

maybe consider using ice magazine?

I get a kick out of categories and genres in this weekly list. Just look at all the genres the Talking Heads fall into.
And "Kraut Rock"? I get that it's German; just struck me funny.

The Miles Davis came out in December.
I have to say, I get a better listing of new releases from the Tower Records site.
