New Album Releases, 8-22-2006: Pirate Ballads, Paris Hilton, OutKast

Part of: New CDs

The main promising new album release this week is Rogue's Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs, & Chanteys. It's something of an adjunct to Johnny Depp's pirate movies, a multi-artist collection of old seafaring songs. Among the artists on this two CD set are Richard Thompson, Bono, Sting, and Lucinda Williams.

OutKast has a new album Idlewild, which is also the soundtrack to their movie.

Paris Hilton has made an album, of course. Paris doesn't sound promising. When did she become a musician? Perhaps she'll make a porn video for the single to add some small bit of actual entertainment value to this project.
