New album releases, 5-31-2005

The main big new release this week is Don't Believe the Truth from everlovin' Oasis. Early reviews seem to be pretty good.

Four years on, they've finally come up with a sountrack album for The Shield, otherwise known as the greatest cop show in the history of television. However, The Shield: Music from the Streets certainly does not provide an overview of the outstanding music that has been featured on the show. Having seen every episode of the series at least half a dozen times, I only recognized ONE song (other than the theme) that was actually on the show. However, that song, "Let's Ride" by Conejo totally kicks ass. They seemed to lean heavily on stuff in the range of Mexican rap in picking songs for this supposed soundtrack.
