Another reissue that could be promising is the Hendrix estate's revamped version of Jimi Hendrix's complete Live At Monterey, which features the great guitarist's legendary performance at the 1967 rock festival which established his career in America, after he had already conquered Britain.
Other reissues and retrospective packages out this week include Santana's Ultimate Santana, as well as several albums from the catalog of Love Sculpture, which was the early psychedelic blues-rock band led by guitarist Dave Edmunds.
Rounding out the highlights this week are the return of emo/alternative band Jimmy Eat World (Chase This Light), while Toby Keith loads the presents into the Ford pickup truck for A Classic Christmas.
At least next week, we'll have a new Neil Young to talk about.

The early buzz on that Aretha compilation is that it's very, very good. If Amazon would get on the stick and ship mine, I'd know for sure, though.
Thanks for the link in your article.

I'll look forward to reading your review on the Aretha once you get it Donald. My pleasure on the link -- it was a great review.

Some weird stuff is up with Amazon, Donald. They messed up an order of mine last week, then I noticed last night that the DVD version of Jimi's Live at Monterey is listed as unavailable, which is strange since I held it in my hands at Best Buy earlier that day while getting the Tom Petty DVD set. They've been messing up a bunch of things over the past two months or so, not sure why - order problems, things not available that should be, etc.

Yeah, there's the Petty set which I got. There's another release that's slipping through the cracks that I've started talking about at Fanboy from Dan Wilson and will be discussing further in the coming days.

The Luther Vandross new CD box set is wonderful! It is very well put together.
This is coming from a male not a lady.
Thanks
