This bit of news from CMU:
The band's manager Andrew Winters told the paper that they were told at the
last minute that they couldn't play because Blondie ban any blonde singers from taking to the stage before Debbie Harry. Winters: "Maybe she was afraid of the competition. The promoter just said Justine is blonde so we couldn't go on because there is a ban on blonde girls supporting Debbie Harry. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. At first I thought it was a joke, but it wasn't."
This is rather amusing but not surprising. Rock stars (or has-beens) can be so touchy at times.
