Since we're almost finished with the year, and album lists have been all over the internet lately (good and bad), I'll pile on with my favorite albums released so far this year. I've already extolled the virtues of most of these discs, so I'll just list them with links to reviews at AllMusic:
1. Title TK, Breeders
2. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Wilco
3. Murray Street, Sonic Youth
4. Neon Golden, The Notwist
5. A Good Tip For A Good Time, Cato Salsa Experience
6. Stereo, Paul Westerberg
7. This Is Where We Disappear, Green Pajamas
8. When I Was Cruel, Elvis Costello
9. Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots, Flaming Lips
10. Creatures, Elf Power
Compare my list to Jumping Fence's faves from this year. While you're at it, check out Parallax View's favorite singles of 2002 as well, his list is wonderfully diverse.
(Note: this was a midyear list, compiled in July. Expect many additions to my final list like Sigur Ros, Mountain Goats, etc.).

amazing list. YHF- Wilco has been my top cd this year. Paul Westerberg is very good... as is the Flaming Lips disc.
