Music Video Review: Katharine McPhee - "Love Story" - Comments Page 2

Katharine McPhee's new music video "Love Story" sets the tone for her to dominate this summer's pop charts.

American Idol's most hated-on contestant since Jasmine Trias has finally released the follow-up single to her moderate hit "Over It", entitled "Love Story." It's a fun, funky summer song with old school horns and an infectious hook — book ended by flirty "ooh-ooh-ooohs" that promise to get stuck in your head 'til next Christmas. Some people may still be bitter that she stayed on Idol longer than both Chris Daughtry and Elliott Yamin, but considering their respective successes, I say they need to make like McPhee and get "over it".…

Say it enough times and people do tend to believe the worst about it Katharine McPhee.

As far her fans requesting there do call, email to the stations but standard answer is given we can't play it or don't have the song. The problem is RCA is not willing to push the song in places it courts,
i mean going on today or the morning show isn't going to help the record company needs to promote it on the radio and having Kat do these concerts which only her fans go to doesn't help either of course Kat fans bought her album. RCA can't seem to do a good job when it comes to more than one idol per season.

Kat does deserve a hit and Love Story could be it. It is really strange that RCA is waiting so long to promote it for radio play. There is so much competition on Top 40 radio that songs just don't make it without advertising and promotion. I think that with a little push this could shoot up the charts, but time will tell. Give it a chance.

Really who is hating on this chick though? That video is WACK, WACK, WACK to the third degree. It was a bad imitation of Beyonce dance moves.

Gee, even Beyonce had to start somewhere.

Give this girl a break, even when she was obviously not included anywhere on this season's AI finale - she still prevailed. These days it is all about the media for a new vocalist to soar - print, charting songs, good looks, interviews, marketing. Her talents, though not as polished as say Beyonce in the dance department, are there and have grown immesurably.
