Music Reviews: Buckcherry, Covered Call, Diamond Dawn, Davey Suicide, Lavett and The New Black - Page 2

Part of: Marty's Musical Meltdown

Find Your Purpose is the new release from Lavett, a bunch of Swedes slumming it from their day band jobs. This is hard rock with very much a modern touch to it. The vocalist screams a bit too much at times, but overall this quite good. Very much an industrial tinge to this release with layers of keyboards flowing out of the songs. Another band that remind me a bit of Orgy and their ilk.

Cut Loose is the new release from The New Black and it picks up right where their last one left off. Tracks like “Count Me In” hit all the right notes to keep fans of hard rock happy of whatever age. The title track is a highlight on here as well. It always good to see Bavarian hard bands emerging that don’t sound like Accept. This just might be the album to break these guys internationally.

Something from everyone I hope. As always stay safe and rocking out there.
