I am sure this ages me but I really liked Coolio’s version of Pachelbel’s "Canon" and Jay-Z’s "Hard Knock Life." Johnny Cash Remixed is just not up to snuff, which makes the album more of a curiosity than anything. I can’t imagine anyone listening to it most of it more than once. Now, if Snoop had done the whole thing, we might have had something here.
"A sinister cabal of superior writers."

Your review is kind. There have been some great remix tributes produced for various artists and genres, but this ain't one fo them. Shame on the Cash estate for allowing this to be released. Johnny and June must be spinning like tops.

Gee, that was a kind review? I, too, am stunned taht the Cash family bought into this. Although I do like the Snoop Dog cut. That's it, though.
