Wow, I hope the movie is better than the soundtrack.
Let's get my bias right out of the way: I'm a Twilight fan. I didn't wait in a midnight Barnes & Noble line or anything like that, but started reading the books out of curiosity. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with Stephanie Meyer's work and the timeless quality inherent in her writing. I loved the twilight soundtrack, especially Bella's Lullaby & Rob Pattinson's Never Think. I was a little dissapointed that they did not encorporate a lot more of the instrumental music, I found them much more moving and entwined with the story than some of the songs from the actual soundtrack no matter how enjoyable they were

i totally agree. i like some of the music but it dosnt suit the movie. i imagined more soft melodies. the song 'a little love song' by jose vanders i think fits amazingly with twilight.

This is jus the BEST movie ever... Not long after seing the movie I went to buy the books, Read em all in less then a week, They are totally amazing, happy ending, with great stories that keep you reading them for hours and hours without even noticing it! Who doesn't want more, really !? More thriling stories, more adventures, emotions, MORE of the amazingly, stunning, gorgeous, lovable, HOT EDWARD!!! =D

I completely agree with you! I did enjoy the movie, but I feel as though each scene could have been much better if the music didn't sound like the soundtrack to an 80's film that I would probably laugh at. A movie's soundtrack is so important in creating the right tone for the scenes, so let's just hope that the soundtrack for New Moon will be a lot better!!!

Personaly I thought everything was just great. Everything when just right & I think who ever dessagrees with me Just didn't get in to the movie. I personaly watch it everyday since it came out, & it just gets even better cause you get it more & makes me feel like I'm the one in the movie. I loved the song by Paramore-"Decode" what I been having trouble is in finding the actual piano song Edward played on the piano on (TWILIGHT) I just can't seem to find it. & it's not "Bella's Lullaby" Its not "River Flows in you" neither. There is a point in the movie where a song is played that is listed nowhere..and i mean nowhere, not even in the credits.
it's girls' voices...just singing "ha haha haa haha"...something like that with music in the background. it's at the part where bella hangs up the phone with her mother in the beginning of the movie after telling her about her first day and into the parking lot scene where bella says she planned to confront edward but he never showed...all the way up to the part where the first man is killed by the nomads.

I agree in part. Yes, the music was geared toward teens and tweens, but so was the whole movie. That's what was disappointing to me. The books were loved by all ages. The movie was great but definitely marketed to that easily obssessed generation. Overall I think the tracks were great and they did suit the movie - just not the novel. Bella's Lullaby especially was a disappointment. Again, I understand it was supposed to woo that younger crowd but it was more of a symphonic piece rather than the intimate piano melody described in Meyer's first book.

I like what you were saying at the beginning and I feel the same way; last year I made fun of my friend for reading a book about vampires, but then I found myself slowly being sucked in and by this time last month I started reading them and I can't stop rereading them, they're very good ! However, I did like the soundtrack, whenever I hear decode by Paramore it reminds me of the books, and I love the Muse song and the Mutemath song as well.
