“Not Alone” changes the mood again talking of depression and the bad life but realizing the opportunity one has and knowing that they are in fact not alone. It’s almost an Irish spoken word of sorts, a little sluggish melodically but the interpretation I received was pretty damn powerful. Closing tune “Be” helps you slug down that last dark ale and bids farewell to a great CD. This is definitely a song to wrap your arms around complete strangers, sway back and fro, and sing your heart out.
The Tossers use historical references in many of their songs and I truly admire that being an Irish lad myself. This album will make you a better drinker and I say that because the more you listen to it, the more you are going to want to drink. If you do not drink, then let this be a warning to you - stick to your pop punk rock while you sip on your precious latte. I am happy to see these guys share the spotlight on such a great genre of music. It may have not been popular in the 90’s, but Irish punk rock is not going to be silenced anytime soon. Just don’t blame the Tossers if you catch the Irish flu because they didn’t force you to consume, they just encouraged you a little musically.
