The previously unreleased “True Love Waits” was featured on a mini live album Radiohead released called I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings. This song is beyond amazing. It is Thom Yorke and an acoustic guitar. Enough said.
I could sit here all day and talk about each track that is featured on this collection. I am not one to sit there and nitpick through songs and find the low qualities over the good. The fact of the matter is that Radiohead, to me, is one of those bands that is going to always be something I listen to.
I just can’t wait till the day I have kids of my own (scary) and they go rummaging through my collections and say “Hey dad, what is Radiohead?” I can then pretty much have the same conversation that my father had with me when I picked up a Pink Floyd record and asked my father who they were. His answer was simple; he took the vinyl out and put it on the record player. The rest is history as far as my relationship with Pink Floyd goes and I hope the same will go with young ears and Radiohead.
If you have heard of the band and have not given them a chance this collection is the perfect way to sample a lot of their material. Shell out the extra couple bucks and get the two disc limited edition version and you will have a perfect assortment of Radiohead tracks. Better yet just go see them live (if you are privileged enough to have them appear at a venue near you) for the ultimate experience.

Good review. However, unless I'm mistaken, the band didn't have anything to do with this release. It was issued by their previous label (Capitol) without the band's input.
I've always thought of Radiohead as an "albums" band, so it does seem jarring to hear the album tracks in a different order.

(this is about the single disc version)
this release is crap. chopping up radiohead like this is a terrible way to hear them... and it's not even really representative, with more than a third of this being from the bends alone.
it ruins that album (why buy it after hearing the best half of the damn thing?) and shortchanges others... 1 track from pablo honey, 1 track from amnesiac and 1 from hail to the thief? come on now. at least they stuck pyramid song on there.
even the sequencing is screwed up. not highlight radiohead's striking development over the years misses a huge opportunity.
ugh.
the double disc version is better, but ultimately kind of useless as well. whatever. if you want to get into radiohead, chances are you know someone with all their stuff who can make you a nice sampler for free. do that instead.
