Miley Cyrus—Hollywood’s hottest teen—has released her second album Breakout this past week. Full of power and raw energy, I deem this CD a must have. My twin sister, however, who loved Miley’s first CD and Miley in a Hannah Montana disguise’s music, did not find this CD that entertaining. Most of the songs have to deal with Miley's break-up with teen heartthrob Nick Jonas. This grew quite tiring after a while. Despite that, I liked the songs so much, I totally think that Miley’s CD is the one to buy.
Track one “Breakout” is full of energy. It’s fun and a great way to start a CD. It’s kind of like Hannah Montana’s “We Got The Party,” track one on the Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus CD. Very intriguing and very nice. I think most teens can relate to the lyrics, which is nice: “Stuck in school’s so lame/My parents say that I’m lazy/Getting’ up at 8am’s crazy/Tired of bein’ told what to do.” It’s important for Miley to relate to her fans. Song one is a ten out of ten.
“ 7 Things” has been out for a while as Miley’s newest single. I loved it so much, I bought it three weeks ago even though I knew I was going to buy the CD. It’s another fun song. That’s what I really love about Miley—her songs are fun. I don’t think the lyrics are as strong as her other songs, but the acoustics are sweet.
Her third song is “The Driveway” which is probably my least favorite. It’s not bad per say, but it’s just not her best. It’s ok. I wouldn’t buy it if it wasn’t on the album. I believe “Breakout” is much better. The thing that really bugs me is I really can’t figure out the meaning of the song. I love country music and there’s ALWAYS a meaning in country music, so it really is important that a song has meaning to me. I have listened to the song a couple times and I have no idea what’s it about. I’d think I’m dumb, but my sister said the same thing.
Next up is “Girls Just Want Have Fun,” a remake of the eighties classic. Remaking classics is risky and my sister made it clear that Miley should not have done such a thing. I liked it though. I hate to use this word again, but it was fun. Very danceable. It’s just another power girl song like “G.N.O.” from her last album.
“Full Circle” is next. It’s okay. Again, not one of my favorites. It would be a lot better slower, which is weird because generally I like faster Miley songs. She could totally pull off this song country. Miley should do a couple country songs. She could pull it off. She did a duet with her daddy, Billy Ray, and it was very successful.

ENOUGH ALREADY! i personally don't think that she can sing as well as she thinks she can. i think that the world has had enough of this so called pop star and i don't understand why people have obsessions with her. to me, she's just another celebrity looking to do whatever she can to make headlines.

funny kid, if you've had "enough" of Miley Cyrus, why comment about her at all? Why not just avoid her and her shtick altogether and simply, oh I don't know, go about your life?
I think the obsessions go both ways. People obsess over celebrities they hate as much as, if not more than, celebrities they actually like. Whatever happened to the "old-fashioned" adage of simply changing the damn channel?

I think Driveway is about her driving with her BF and thinking about the relationship, like and how it's coming to the end, " So I guess the driveway, will be the end of the road" and then also talks about how it's harder to let go, when you are still holding on to the relationship even when you know it's not going anywhere

I just want everyone to know that 'These Four Walls' is not an original Miley Cyrus song. I don't think many people know that the original singer of this song is Cheyenne Kimball and it's called 'Four Walls' on her album. If you haven't heard Cheyenne singing it you should listen to it because she sounds much better singing it than Miley does. Cheyenne's voice just matches more with the song. Miley sounds off key and to me personally, it sounds really bad after you hear the original. I do like her song '7 Things.' It's catchy.

The music itself isn't bad, I guess.
