Kumi and Sato met in Tokyo and self-released their early work. They put out their first major label disc in 2001. Four others followed to growing local acclaim. Delico, as they are called in Japan, was setting the groundwork for this latest release. It would not seem possible to have a more invigorating and hip-beat American debut than This is Love Psychedelico.
This is Love Psychedelico is one of those discovery records: when you hear it you feel as if you’ve been let in on this large secret that perhaps you should have heard by now ("why didn't I know about this?"), but now that you know it you're gonna claim insider status by telling as many of your friends as possible that "you gotta hear LOVE PSYCHEDELICO."
Believe me, you gotta. Then you'll have lots of secrets to tell.

I like your review, however, I must ask that you fact check your writings before you publish them. The group you refer to as Ciba Matto is actually called "Cibo Matto." Those who do know the band would quickly click away at such a simple mistake that's repeated throughout your opening lines. In times when blogs are being subjected to professional journalism standards, I think that simple errors like these could be solved if a quick fact check were done beforehand. Besides that, nice review.
P.S. This is not a personal attack, just a critique from one music writer to another.

The "Ciba Matto" flub is nowhere near as bad as another blog/review I read for Love Psychedelico that said the band was fronted by two females, when, in fact, it is one male and one female.

Such a brilliant band. I first heard them when I lived in Japan from 01-03 and have absolutley loved them ever since. Lotta people don't realize this American release is basically a "best-of" compiled from their previous albums, but its a perfect intro to, quite literally, one of the best bands on the planet.
