The Rebirth of Kirk Franklin (2002) peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200. The album has been certified platinum (1,000,000 copies sold) and is considered one of contemporary gospel's masterpieces. The Rebirth of Kirk Franklin spent 29 weeks at the summit of the Gospel Albums charts and even charted at #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album features lead single, "Brighter Day," in addition to fan favorites "Hosanna" and "911."

Hero (2005) peaked at #13 on the Billboard 200. The album has been certified platinum (1,000,000 copies sold) and featured the Grammy-winning song "Imagine Me." In 2006, Kirk Franklin received two Grammy Awards for Best Gospel Song ("Imagine Me") and Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album (Hero).

Songs for the Storm, Volume 1 (2006) peaked at #74 on the Billboard 200. While not a complete retrospective of Franklin's career, Songs for the Storm features Kirk Franklin's more reverent (read: less secular) masterpieces: "He Will Take the Pain Away," "Conquerors" and "The Storm is Over Now."
